The speaker believes that game and education are not the opposite. The ingenious combination can not only effectively improve the learning efficiency, but also open up a new eLearning path for History teaching. The design of this teaching strategy is based on the concept of "gamification-based teaching", which involves the application of 3D Scan technology and Unity game design platform in the traditional classroom simulation activities.
Students explore through the AR Trial game. The tradition oral presentation is replaced by Puppet Pals 2 animation. With the use of PaGamO, a gamification learning platform as the after-class evaluation, students are more active in learning and actively exploring historical knowledge. They can learn and appreciate history in the process of learning, so that learning is not limited to the classroom, but extends beyond the classroom.
講者相信遊戲與教育絕非對立,巧妙的結合不單能有效提昇學習效能,更能為到歷史教學開辟一道嶄新的電子教學路徑。本教學設計是建基於「遊戲化教學」的理念,當中涉及多種遊戲化學習工具,包括應用 3D Scan 技術及 Unity 遊戲設計平台於傳統課堂的摹擬活動,突破性地將其預習成果製成 AR 審判類遊戲,並且在學生自主探索以後,以 Puppet Pals 2 動畫化製作軟件取代傳統課堂的口頭匯報,再以 PaGamO 遊戲化學習平台作為課後的學習評估,藉此將歷史教學遊戲化,令學生更為主動學習,寓學於樂,積極探索歷史知識,同時希望他們能於學習過程中懂得研究及欣賞歷史,使學習不止於課堂,乃延伸於課外。
