Some students with moderate intellectual disabilities have low motivation to learn and have difficulty applying learnt skills in competition. We use the 'Teaching games for Understanding' in Physical Education to enhance the motivation and the learning of the rules and techniques from games. It advocates that students understand the cognition and characteristics of the entire sports and use tactical awareness.This can help develop a cognitive experience for students. Teachers will first let students watch some of the ball games video, then let students participate in simple games or competitions, together with some rules and skills of the game Finally, let the students participate in the competition. Most students established the habit of participating competitions. Students who are in lower motivation increased motivation due to the atmosphere of the game and being driven by their peers. Those of higher abilities learn the skills and competition rules from the repeated competitions.
