Limited Capacity full

In view of Hong Kong’s evolving primary school curriculum that demands higher reasoning, problem-solving skills and language competence, Heep Hong Society has launched a local early cognitive programme of 'Think Bright' using mediated learning to enhance thinking skills in preschool children with developmental delay. Developed by our educational psychologists and special education teacher under the consultation of Dr. Kathy Shum (Department of Psychology, The University of Hong Kong), the Think Bright programme can help improve both the cognitive and language development of preschoolers, by teaching them how to think, to have an opinion and to experiment new ways of problem solving. It also equips preschool teachers with mediated learning pedagogy that can enhance their mediation skills. The 'Think Bright' programme serves as a valuable resource to help teach thinking skills in a non-Western culture.
