SEN Coordinators in mainstream schools can use certain tools to assists the learning of students with dyslexia. These students usually have reading and writing difficulties. It is not effective to use common pedagogy on these students. However, they can learn better through exploration and try and error. Speaker will introduce how teachers use e-learning games and exercises which student loves, through word learning, sensory and cognitive training, to break through dyslexia difficulties such as character formation, pronunciation and sentence structure. Teachers can now set different questions in games to cater different learning ability. Students can take the challenge at different levels and obtain rewards. Teachers can also monitor student progress and adjust game content. This is much better than all students work out same exercises in the past. Such practice greatly increases students’ learning efficiency and their sense of accomplishment.

主流學校之特殊教育需要統籌主任,可透過一些工具支援校內讀寫困難的學生。這些學生在閱讀及書寫方面出現困難,若以一般方式教導他們,未必有效。若他們能以探索、嘗試、從錯誤中學習的方式去學習,成效更佳。講者將講解如何透過電子學習遊戲和練習,從識字、感知、思維三方面,讓讀寫困難的學生以他們喜愛的模式,自主嘗試及發掘技巧,提升讀寫能力以突破字型、字音、句子結構等難點。教師可為不同程度學生提供不同遊戲及練習題目,讓他們能以階梯方式不斷挑戰,並獲得獎勵。教師亦可定期檢視學生進度,按個別學生需要調整遊戲內容,比過往所有學生只能做相同練習,大大提升讀寫困難學生學習效能和成功感,令他們更喜愛學習。
