Using inquiry- and field-based approach is a key direction in teaching and learning in the 21st century classroom. This seminar aims to share with fellow teachers the experience and insights of running a fieldwork-based inquiry learning project in Geography in a campus environment, from setting the hypotheses, collecting, organising and analysing data, to interpreting and presenting results. This workshop will showcase the key elements in engaging and motivating students, including: to present students with real-world problems in their day-to-day living environment, to immerse students in exploring interesting questions and testing hypotheses, and to engage students in actual data collection using field instrument and in data analysis and interpretation .

「考察為本」和「探究式為本」是21世紀的主流教學模式,本節研討會將與參加者分享在校園內推行地理科考察為本探究式學習的經驗,當中包括如何設定假說,如何收集、整理及分析數據,以及如何解釋及發表結果。此外,講者亦會分享教學策略來提升學生的投入感及積極性,包括:讓學生探索與他們日常生活息息相關的議題 、 發掘有趣的問題及對假說進行測試 、 動手操作儀器來量度和收集數據以及參與數據分析及解說過程 。
