In today’s fast-evolving world, the nature of work and interpretation of meaningful lives are constantly changing. The need for good career guidance has become more pressing than ever. It challenges stereotypes, allows youth to embrace multiple options, empowers them to navigate their own career and life journey and raise aspirations. The aim is to nurture future mindsets that are well-prepared for ever-changing workplace.
In this session, speakers will talk about the importance of careers guidance. By sharing the practical examples in the UK and HK, speakers will introduce an effective way to build a collective vision across the team and follow with a strong system and structure that underpin careers work at school. At management level, speakers will also share how to exercise leadership, monitor progress and evidence impact on the career policy.
Informed by UK examples and past experience in HK careers guidance, several good practices have been identified and will bring some insights to our fellow educators.
